One of the major differences that you will see in this full length album in comparison to her previous is the lack of other artists. All of her albums do have a certain theme going for them as far as what it means to “sail your soul.” Aiko has stated that when she meets with producers she doesn’t sell her self but she “sails” herself, meaning she sticks to the ideas of spiritual preservation, You can see this throughout her music and interviews and that’s what makes her such a talented young artist. When you think of Aiko’s voice you can’t help but compare her to the likes of Sade with her smooth, and jazzy flow. But if you buy the deluxe version from Target you’ll also get two more songs: “You vs them” and “Beautiful Ruin” which is a total of four great songs. If you purchase the deluxe version of the album you’ll get two bonus songs, “Remember” and “Blue Dream”. The 12 song set comes in quite a varied fashion, ranging from heart felt to emotionless. After giving her fans a taste of her talent in her 2011 mix-tape “Sailing Soul,” and now with her 2014 major debut album “Souled Out,”which is her first full length album. She has had a great year, but nothing can compare to the great success that this sultry R&B singer will have. Her sound seems like a personal message to you, yet her lyrics can be a knife through a man’s heart. Jhene Aiko’s intimate lyrics can send anyone’s emotions through a whirlwind.
